OZGANICS was created in 1999 when the founder, Anni Brownjohn saw imported organic jam on her local supermarket shelves. At the time Anni had a small business making jam and table sauces in her home kitchen for local stores. She only used natural ingredients, using organic when possible. Anni’s cooking won numerous prizes at local shows and she was constantly being asked to make more sauce for friends.
She was incensed to see an imported product on Australian shelves, which she knew could be made to higher quality standards in Australia.
Hence she founded Australia’s most successful and innovative organic food brand – OZGANICS.
Anni took her love of good food, her recipes and passion and built a factory at Murwillumbah, located in the glorious Tweed River Valley of Northern New South Wales. The OZGANICS factory was the first plant in Australia to be certified Organic under Australian Government standards for preserve manufacture.
As consumers were asking for more products made to the OZGANICS organic low allergy standard, the range has continued to expand. In 2008 the company launched its pioneering range of organic simmer sauces and are delighted they have become the most popular organic sauce on shelf.
OZGANICS has received many awards since its opening in 1999. In 2009 it won the Business Excellence Award for Innovation, Food Challenge Award for Health and Wellness products and awards for Export.
